Brooke and Mike were married at the exceptional venue of Turner Hill in Ipswich, MA; a beautiful old mansion set at the top of an up-market golf course. The setting and weather were perfect as we met with Mike and his band of very merry men and got them warmed up with a bit of jumping. We headed up to a very relaxed Brooke who was getting ready with her friends and parents and got some great natural shots as light streamed in through the windows (3 sides of the room; a photographer's dream!). Their ceremony was outside in the lovely gardens overlooking the course in the afternoon and finished perfectly as the light softened for our group photos and photos of the newly married Linehans. We managed to get some great shots with a very large almost full moon in the twilight as their guests ate and then moved inside for a party that rocked the roof off. These guys partied HARD and were helped along by the Boston Players. My assistant Doug and I both keep talking about the great atmosphere that evening - it stands out as a night to remember.
All the best to Brooke and Mike!

Suzanne and Todd were married in Brighton and had their reception at the Royal Sonesta in Cambridge. We met up with Suzanne and her family at the family home in Randolph at noon on an incredibly humid day and began taking our photos of the beautiful bride, with frequent trips inside to recover from the heat. Then we headed to St Columbkille, a beautiful and very large church in Brighton for their ceremony, then along the Charles to the Sonesta. Just as we arrived and headed outside for their photos, we felt a few drop of rain, which started to increase in intensity - tropical storm Hanna was starting its march through! We quickly took a few photos of the newly-weds under umbrellas with their dog Rusty, then headed inside for the group photos. I felt so bad for them both - if we had just had another hour we could have made some great photos outside, but we made the best of the unfortunate weather later in the evening with some night shots around the venue as the storm raged outside and also came away with a lot of images of a cracking (is that just an English phrase?) party!
I wish them all the best! Take a look at the photos below and watch their slideshow... - the password is Suzanne's maiden name.

Caitlin & Jon were married at Misselwood, a beautiful venue that overlooks the ocean near Beverly and Marblehead. Back in June we had met in Marblehead to take their engagement photos and they continued their fun adventure on a warm Saturday, with beautiful, clear skies. We got some really fun shots while they were getting ready down the road and suddenly the skies got very, very dark.
My heart sank for them - Misselwood's charm is its wonderful location; getting married in the beautiful gardens on the cliff with the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop just can't be described well enough with words. So the heavens opened and as it was easing up we went outside with Jon, Dennis and Kim to get some shots in front of the fountains. We head back inside to take some shots of the the girls and as we proceeded we had a call from the venue- we were going ahead with the ceremony outside! Excitement ensued, we got some great shots of the girls on the bed, then headed over to Misselwood for the ceremony.
With the sky clearing out, the light became incredible as Jon and Caitlin gave their vows to each other. It was a beautiful day that finished off with a great party and a hilarious marathon speech from Dennis.

Theresa and Matt enjoyed their wedding day at Topsfield, at the beautiful Congregational Church and Topsfield Commons.
It was a perfect day for photography - slightly overcast and not too hot when we came to do the group photos and the very happy couple. This was a really fun wedding for me - Theresa and Matt were a ton of fun and extremely welcoming and caring about their guests and myself. The wedding party seemed to soon warm to me after some good humour about my English accent.
Both Theresa and Matt and all of the guests really lifted the roof of the venue with an incredible party and a LOT of laughter. Their friends were a really lovely group of people and I don't think I've ever been stopped so many times at the end of the night and hugged and thanked.
See you both soon - enjoy the photos!

Pip and Dan were married on May 24, 2008 at St Anselm College, Manchester, NH where they had both met. I had first met them in mid February and was immediately drawn to Pip's accent, which was surprisingly to me from my home country. She moved here many years ago and they currently both live in Tennessee.
Around a month after we met, Pip secretly contacted me about the possibility of getting a limited edition framed print to give to Dan at the rehearsal dinner. At that point I had some of my own personal work online, but after she asked about the possibility of an image of the skyline of Boston I remembered the image I took of Boston on a cold December evening from the roof of the Tufts chapel (where I was married last year). It was just what she was looking for and I arranged to have it expertly printed and framed. When I turned up at their hotel on the morning of the wedding, it appeared that Dan was utterly surprised by it and was extremely pleased that they were adding another piece of artwork to their walls.
The wedding was a fun and intimate affair. They both got ready a floor apart from each other and I was able to go back and forth between the rooms to get some great coverage of them getting ready...

We then headed off to the church at St Anselm College where there were some tearful and funny moments...

Then it was off to the Bedford Village Inn for an upbeat reception... I think all of the English contingent thought I'd been flown over also :) It was great to see some fascinators and hats worn again!

Thanks Pip! Maybe that's why fashion models never smile? That and the wrinkles they'd get!
(06.26.08)Rob you are amazing!!!! The artistry in every shot is genious, and the night shot ones are really cool. We were so lucky to find you, and excited to continue working with you! My cheeks still hurt from you telling me to smile bigger!!! =)-Pip
