Yesterday my wife and I had Michael, Amy and Chelsea over. Our three-and-a-half month old puppy took a shine to Chelsea (a little more than we wanted!), but Chelsea was more concerned with climbing the stairs. We took them down to the local playground, where despite some gloomy skies we got some fun photos of the happy family. Michael would say "where's Rob Brown?" and Chelsea would respond by grinning and pointing. Show me the teeth Chelsea!

My first visit to the Cape was August 2004 following my best man's wedding in Boston. This new gallery contains some of those original photos (not for sale as the original transparencies are still in England), plus some photos taken at the end of 2007, which are available as luxury framed prints (up to 30 inches) as limited and open editions. London Life

London Life: I lived in London from 2002-2006 and when not spending my life commuting I'd be heading to the fridge for a roll of Fujifilm Astia, go out to shoot and then pick up my processed trannies at the local pro lab in the early hours. I certainly miss those days of looking through a loupe at my work over a light table.

My England

Just a few photos that portray my view of England. Growing up in the picturesque Cotswolds, I was always spoiled for fine views; ironically I moved away to the big smoke just at the point that I was really getting into photography. My parents however still live there and the beautiful views, fresh air and country smells were only a couple of hours away from London. There are also few photos from other parts of the country too: Surrey and Wiltshire. I'll be posting many more photos of the Cotswolds over the coming months.

2007 Roundup

2007 has been an extremely busy year for me. In March I moved to the US from England, got myself married to my wonderful wife and shot a lot of weddings!

Along the way I never honestly thought that I would get to meet so many new faces and make friends with many of them; including some delightful brides and grooms (you know who you are!), some really talented people who've assisted me (Nika Boyce, Diane Capozzi and Doug Levy) and Michael J Charles who made our wedding such a success with his incredible work. I've worked with Michael this year and he's been a great source of knowledge and inspiration to me.

Take some time to go over my favourite (yes I still spell that with a 'u'!) wedding photos from 2007:

Doug has also rekindled my interest in landscape photography and I'll be posting my photos to my personal section of the site of our expedition to the Cape over the next few days. I've also got a huge back catalogue of photos from England, California, Arizona, France, Thailand and New England (many of them scanned from film) that I'm gradually keywording and I'll be getting those into my collection over the next couple of months (just two more years of work to get through!).

After many trials and tribulations with photo labs, I've finally settled with some excellent printing partners. I'm now offering high end prints of my personal work including signed and professionally framed limited editions, which can now be purchased online and shipped direct to your door.

I'll be posting updates to my my weddings and personal work on the blog so add my blog to your RSS reader and stay tuned for an exciting 2008!

December Snow

An intense snow storm hit Massachusetts yesterday between 2 and 9pm, with 11 inches falling in Winchester and a record was broken in Boston for snowfall on that day. The commute was mayhem as workers took to the roads in unison, causing complete gridlock around the city as the ploughs were also in the jam. Thankfully the storm stopped late evening, allowing us to clear the driveway ready for the next day, which yielded some great light for photography. Take a look below...

Lucy and the Kossuths

Lucy, aged one is ready to take on the world! Yesterday I met with Lucy and her parents to create some photos to mark her first anniversary and create an image for a holiday card. We came away with some fun images of the new family and I had a great time getting to know the little one. She literally seemed to be loving the camera, grabbing onto the lens for a close-up and while she wasn't too keen on sitting for a family portrait, she certainly loved mimicking her parents.

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary: Vision Rehabilitation Center

I recently had the great opportunity of being invited to the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary to produce some imagery for their Vision Rehabilitation Center. It was a very interesting experience working alongside people who help those of us unfortunate enough to have degenerative eye problems. I for one will certainly be looking after my eyes carefully in the future!

Melinda and Mike Meyer

Mike and Melinda were married on a hot early October day in New Hampshire. The location could not have been better and their small, intimate and relaxed reception (at the Stone Bridge Country Club) was full of great people who certainly made up for the few numbers! Sue and Colin

Sue and Colin were married on the beautiful day in early September on Cape Cod at the Holy Redeemer Church, Chatham, MA. They were the first clients that I had booked here in the US and we had never actually met until the day of the wedding (they live in LA). The wedding was very relaxed and we got some great photos down on the beach beside the Ocean's Edge Resort, (Brewster, MA) as the sun was going down. A lovely couple and lovely people - I wish them all the best...

Melissa and Marty

Marty and Melissa were married on July 28 2007 at the Saint Rose of Lima Parish Church in Northborough, MA. As I drove up to meet Melissa, someone from above seemed to be pouring the Atlantic onto Massachusetts; but luckily as soon as we arrived at The International, (Bolton, MA) following the ceremony, the sun started shining and we made the most of some great photo opportunities in a short space of time. Serena and Jeff

Serena and Jeff were married on the Cape on July 22 2007 at the Coonamessett Inn in Falmouth. It was a lovely afternoon wedding and a very relaxing affair for all. Following the reception, we took to the limo for a trip to Surf Drive Beach where we were awarded with some incredible light to produce some amazing photos. This was a really memorable event for me and I'm looking forward to the next wedding where I can spend an hour with the bride and groom on their couple photos.

Laura and Andrew

Laura and Andrew were married at the end of June in New Hampshire. Last year I'd had the pleasure of creating some engagement photos with them while I was visiting from England (they are friends of my now wife, Nicole. Actually Nicole was at the shoot too and was unaware of the fact that the camera bag she was carrying contained a diamond ring :)

They had already chosen their wedding photographer last year, but wanted someone to cover the partying after their coverage had ended and we turned out some great partying shots!

My close friend Dan Uglow is getting married in August in England. Unfortunately for me I cannot make it, but fortunately for him I cannot get access to the entirety of my old film archive, which is also in England (yes there were some embarrassing shots believe you me)! Oh well, you'll just have to make do with some nice shots of Dan who used to look like a member of Hanson. Yes, you are very lucky Dan!

On March 12 2007 I'll be landing in Boston with my fiancee Nicole, getting married March 31st and then living permanently in the USA following that.
