Below are my ten favourite wedding images from 2008. My choice was based upon client feedback and also my own feelings when capturing the image; sometimes you know that in the millisecond the shutter fires, you got a great one.

Steve and Lori were married on a cold December afternoon in Derry, New Hampshire. Lori's bridesmaids were great sports bearing the extreme cold in the garden for a few shots before we headed over to Derry to meet with Steve.... Well he was cool as a cucumber (insert US translation here) and beaming ear to ear. The ceremony and following reception went along with many laughs and we managed to steal them away for 20 minutes to get some shots of them out in the gardens and got them back inside just before Steve's hands froze to Lori's fur wrap.

Lucy Kossuth, now 2!
I shot Lucy with her parents last year on a very cold day; this year I ran into the family while walking the dog in Winchester Fells back in the summer and Ann asked me to come back for some an update to little Lucy's portfolio. So we met on a late autumn day and got some great photos of Lucy playing in her local playground in Medford, then retired to their home and got some shots of the family relaxing in front of West Side Story (Lucy's favourite by all accounts!)
Hope to see you next year!

Time to catch up on blogging some shoots!
Meet Carly and Sam... they came all the way from the Cape for a shoot around Beacon Hill and we came away with some lovely shots of the two laughing and relaxing. A really, lovely couple. They don't come more genuine and caring than this (private story there). Thanks for making the trip and looking forward to your wedding!

Angel and Chris were married at angel in Wrentham, MA at Lucianios at Lake Pearl on a particularly chilly, but very sunny autumn day. Angel wore a beautiful. classic wedding dress and Chris looked the part in his tux, a few tears in the eyes as Angel walked down the aisle with her father.
Their ceremony was blessed with some incredible singing from Angel's friends; my assistant Doug noted that he thought that they were playing a CD as Angel was walking towards Chris. Following the ceremony we got some great family portraits out on the lawn and it was great to see so many of Chris' family from England be there (fellow Midlanders!). Later followed an excellent afternoon reception in the warmth and in the last hour of sunshine their party ended perfectly on time as we headed outside to create their photos. Angel was a real trooper out in the cold as we followed the setting sun; the lake beneath acted as a giant reflector for the sun, creating an amazing orange glow as the light diffused through the autumn leaves. One last shot of Angel and Chris with their son Ethan and we were done as the sun set; smiles all around.
All the best to the happy family!

I vote for #10. I like how the light makes a heart behind them on the bldg.
